• To run the Service: sign you in, review your application, understand your messages, create your posts, find matches and make introductions you agree to.
• To text and email you about your account, your application, matches and introductions, as described in our SMS & Messaging Terms.
• To keep members safe: prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To improve the Service, including by reviewing a limited sample of conversations, and with aggregated or de-identified data.
• To meet legal obligations.

Your messages are processed by automated systems, including AI models run by our service providers, to understand what you want and to write replies. We do not use your content to train AI models. AI providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI, and others under the same restrictions, process messages to run the Service and may not use them to train their general models. A small number of Listing staff may read conversations to provide support, investigate safety reports or fix problems.

We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and PostHog to understand and improve the Service. On listing.ai they load only after you accept cookies; if you decline, they stay off on later visits too. They are not used for advertising, and we don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Other members see your profile and posts as each post’s settings allow. When you both say yes to an introduction, the other member sees your first name, your post, and only the contact details you’ve chosen to share in your settings. Until you choose, none are shared. Listing can pass messages between you without sharing either person’s contact details.
• The public may see posts and pages whose settings make them public, including through search engines.
• Page owners see what you submit to their page and, if you subscribe, your subscription details.
• Service providers process data for us under contract: hosting and databases (Amazon Web Services, Supabase, Cloudflare), messaging (Apple iMessage, and our messaging provider, Twilio, for sign-in codes), email (Resend), AI (Anthropic, OpenAI and others under the same restrictions), analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and PostHog) and, when you pay for a feature, payments (Stripe).
• Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of members or others.
• Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under this policy.

All of the categories above exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which we never share with third parties except the providers that deliver our messages.

• Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop all texts, START to resume, HELP for help.
• Email: use the link in any email to change preferences; account and security emails still send.
• Your data: you can see and edit most of it in Settings. You can delete your account in Settings, Account; we delete or de-identify your data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law or to resolve disputes. Copies already received by members you were introduced to stay with them.
• Requests: email [email protected] to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data. We’ll verify your identity first and respond within the time the law requires.

California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for that advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Residents of other states with similar laws have similar rights; email us to use them.

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Text consent and opt-out records are kept as long as needed to prove consent and honor opt-outs. Backups expire on a rolling schedule.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

Listing is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
